We visited this amazing place, I have never seen a glacier before, and it is quite incredible that in New Zealand you can get so close to a glacier... basically walking up in front of it (the photo below will give you an idea).

DeleteIt is many years since I have been to Franz Joseph but it is indeed a stunning place. I took a trip to walk on the glacier and will never forget how chillingly beautiful it is. Happy New Year.
