  1. I made the sugar balls from your cookbook as Christmas presents!! I made two kinds - one elderflower (green) and one vanilla rose petal (red). I've paired them with some beautiful silk-bagged pomegranate cranberry tea bags. Lovely!!

  2. Mi piace tantissimo quel monte bianco con la sfoglia! Dev'essere anche buonissimo! Inutile dirti che mI piacciono tantissimo anche tutti i dolcetti decorati, biscotti o marzapane.....ma quel montebianco oggi vince, fa così tanto Natale e neve!! Ciao franci

  4. @ Make-do Mum, that's great, I am so happy! And I would like to try the elderflower, did you use an essence or syrup or something else?

    Franci e Stefania, il monte bianco e' uno dei miei dolci preferiti e con la sfoglia devo dire che ci stava benissimo, e poi era un pranzo di italiani e l'hanno capito tutti! Infatti vediamo i commenti, scommetto che i Kiwi non saranno cosi' attratti da quello!

    Thanks Alessandra, I make homemade elderflower cordial http://makedomum.blogspot.com/2011/11/elderflower-cordial-and-elderflower.html and just replaced the vanilla in your recipe for half the amount of elderflower syrup. I had tried drying elderflower in the caster sugar, this did not work well. The smell was horrid and (luckily) dissipated in the fresh air! I made rose sugar with dried rose petals that I sieved out after a few days.

    mi piacciono tutte le ricette, qualche biscotto provo a farlo sicuramente.

  13. My favorites are the small treats especially the Turkish Delights, look so pretty and delicious...!! I need to try them someday, I've never had them in my life, but they somehow remind me of Japanese mochi :).

  14. @ B. per farlo vegan basta sostituire il miele con un altro sciroppo (vegetale). A dire il vero conosco diversi vegan che mangiano miele ed infatti lo promuovono perche' dobbiamo tenere le api per impollinare tutte le piante che ci servono.Altri invece sono contrari, cosi' ho la ricetta con il miele (panforte normale) e quella senza (100% vegano).

    @ Cooking Gallery, I also like small treats, and yes, Turkish delight is a bit like mochi :-).
