Sweet New Zealand for September, calling for Sweet NZ entries and Sweet NZ hosts!

Welcome to the 14th edition of Sweet New Zealand! Over a year has passed since the first edition and I though that it was time to host it again! Thank you to our Sweet host for August, the Plum Kitchen, and to all the other hosts who made this blogging event possible (you can find the full list here). 100s of sweet treats, cookies, cakes and desserts have been published so far and we all got to know many other Kiwi bloggers, some living in New Zealand, and other blogging form overseas.

I am also looking for hosts for the coming months, so if you are keen to book a month please leave me a message here (asap) and I will book your chosen month! Old hosts and new hosts are all welcomed, and even if you are new ... the rules are very easy! Here they are:

1 This blogging event is open to all bloggers living in New Zealand and Kiwis living and/or blogging overseas. This is not a competition and there are no prizes or winners: it is just a way for Kiwi bloggers to connect and share recipes.

2 You can take part with anything sweet: cakes, fruit salads, biscuits, ice creams…You can write a new recipe or send the link for an old recipe, if you like, as long as the entry contains the phrase Sweet New Zealand, the banner (choose your own size), a link to the host, and to this post (so please update your old posts, if necessary).

3 Send your entry by the 28th of September to:
alessandra at clear dot net dot nz

with:

                Your Name
                Your Blog Name and URL
Your Post URL (and name of the recipe if it isn’t in the post title)
                A photo (not too large)

I will publish recaps at the end of the month.

4 There are no more rules, so have fun!

If you have any questions, please leave a comment :-).

  1. Ciao Ale, bellissima iniziativa. Ti volevo dire che farò un post molto volentieri su una delle città italiane. Al momento non ho pronto niente, ma appena posto te lo dico. Intanto ti mando un bacione!!!

  3. Hi Alessandra

I am very happy to host a month again - I really enjoyed doing it last time. Probably just not November or December for me, as that is going to be my busiest time at work, and I'm not sure I will have the energy to commit to doing anything else at that time. But any other month I am more than happy to host.

Lovely to see you again last week at food bloggers and catch up with you - looking forward to next time.

  4. A year! Congratulations. I think I have managed to be part of one of them (I am very ashamed) and that I even offered to host once but never came through on the offer. So, by all means, count me in as a host and I will do my best to participate this month, I promise. Really I do.

  8. Hi Alessandra - put me down for hosting too - about time I did it. Probably not able to do December though as may be away over Christmas and/or New Year and not sure about internet access.

  9. What a nice event. I'll see if I can work up my baking nerve to participate either this month or October... Would happily host too - give me some time to have this baby and emerge from newborn fug some time next year...

  12. Hi Alessandra, you can put me down for January. Looking forward to actually getting my entry done this month. Too much experimenting with non wheat flours is testing my patience and tastebuds. Julie T
