Fresh As raspberries, lychees and feijoas dipped in dark chocolate

Usually every Christmas I make dried apricots, nuts and other dried fruit dipped in dark chocolate, but this year I am using Fresh As freeze dried fruit. The flavour is really intense, and the texture completely different, crispy and fresh! I used dried raspberries, dried lychees and dried feijoas. I had friends around and everything disappeared in no time. Most people preferred the raspberries, but I preferred the lychees and Max the feijoas. I did the mandarins already here, and I am pondering about the next fruit to try!

  2. This looks sensational!! In the past for Xmas I've dipped fresh cherries into chocolate for dessert - and also watched them all disappear. But this looks a bit more portable. I'll have to try and find a stockist, or a similar producer downunder!!

    1. In theory these should last longer, the raspberries in particular as they are completely covered in chocolate, and being dried they won't get watery or go off... in saying that, impossible to stop eating them, so next loot I will have to hide!!!

  10. Feijoas! Such an intense but short season. What a great idea to get freeze dried feijoa for other times of the year. I adore feijoa and chocolate together so I think I'd be on Max's side. Are they sour at all or just sweet?

  11. A bit sour, so perfect for chocolate! I also freeze (not dry freeze, just freeze) feijoaa, you should try, they are great for smoothies all year round

  12. I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is needed to get setup? I'm assuming
having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny?
I'm not very internet savvy so I'm not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
