A week in Cagliari and around...

We just spent a wonderful week in Cagliari, Sardinia, in the company of good friends, with clear skies, green and blue waters, white rocks, sweet watermelons, sand castles, sails, ice creams and... I want to go back!!! Anyway, I have already talked about Sardinia here, I even added a new wonderful vegetarian restaurant on the guide, so I will let the pics do the talking now.

  2. Oh, Alessandra, what a fantastic life you lead; please let me stow away the next trip you're on! The image of that day bed with the drapes swishing in the breeze is calling to me. So lovely.

  3. You know Barbara, that bed is actually a seat in a bar (outdoors), very nice idea eh!

    PS
I travel a lot because I have a lot of wonderful friends who look after me :-)

  6. Alessandra,
I agree with Barbara, I too would like to be a stow away on your trips. So bright and blue.

I got a request, I made one of your lovely recipes, the polenta bomb from your book 'Savour' and am going to put an entry on it either today or in the next few days, but I cannot find the link to the original recipe on any of your blogs. If you know of the link, please do let me know, otherwise I will just post my attempts at your lovely 'polenta bombs' which were a great hit. I hope you won't mind.

  7. Thank you Mangocheeks, the polenta bomb is in one of my books but not in any of my blogs, I am very honoured that you tried it :-)

  15. What a beautiful place. I have a "thing" for islands and so does my husband. As a boy he summered on an island in Long Island Sound and we lived on a tiny private tropical island in the northern Bahamas for ten years.

I am very impressed with the sophistication of this island and those palm trees are very beautiful.

I see you love Pinterest. So do I. Your food boards are gorgeous and I really like how you've set them up by color. I'll be following along.
    Sam
