On Sunday a small group of members from Slow Food Waitakere learned to make croissants from Allison of Gourmet Gannet.

After a demo we are all ready for hands-on!
It was a great class for everyone. We baked some croissants (plain and chocolate) on the spot, and we took some more home to freeze or bake. I baked some as soon as I got home, and they came out lovely (pics below). Thank you Allie for a lovely morning!
I love croissants! This is one of my favorite kind of bread. ughhhh...I want to eat!
ReplyDeleteBellissimi, a vederli fare sembra sempre facile!

A.
ReplyDeleteYahooo for you...these look amazing! I once took a class oodles ago to make these yummies too but haven't in a while...I should dig out my recipe! Fill them with chocolate...a dark piece of chocolate...yummmy x100!
ReplyDeleteHappy new week to you.
ReplyDelete@ Koralee, yep, we did fill some with some dark chocolate, so good!

ReplyDeleteRed Nomad :-) I got this mania for home-made stuff, I have to try to make everything... so I don't have to drive to a bakery but can stay at home in my forest :-)

ReplyDeleteWow they look delicious! This sounds like a great class
ReplyDeleteLooked like a great workshop! Nothing like a freshly baked buttery croissant. Do let me know when the next one is.
