Everyday we are exploring two or more little bays/chasms/natural pools. Some are great to see tropical fish and coral, others are good for... snakes! They are poisonous, yes, but not really dangerous because they are not aggressive, so you can swim with them, and you know what? They are actually really really cute! Some popped their little heads up and I could see their eyes! Growing up in the mountains with vipers (in Italy), and now living in one of the few countries that doesn't have snakes (New Zealand), I never felt comfortable with these reptiles, but the Niue sea snakes are different :-). You can find out more about them here.

Oh, I CAN'T believe I'm reading this from the girl who thinks places in OZ have too many snakes!!! Maybe I should join you - and my snake-phobia would disappear too ...
Ciao, a presto
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteI don't like snakes even if there are marine ones. When I see them I am paralyzed!!!
I hope to see this kind of place one day in my life!
God you have more balls than me Alessandra! I am terrified of snakes, totally terrified. Even of the non-venomous ones! I saw my first red-back spider today, equally as scary.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you are having a fab time, enjoy the sun! xx emm
I am more scared of spiders than snakes. I think these snakes were more scared of me, and I am not that scary :-)
ReplyDeleteChe meraviglia, Alessandra! Complimenti! Buone vacanze, allora!
ReplyDeletegreat photos Alessandra!
ReplyDeleteI have missed all of your tropical posts!! Your images are stunning my friend..off to read them all!!!! Hugs for a great weekend. xoxoxo
1000 sull'isola e 20.000 in Nuova Zelanda!
